Don't Freak Out If Your Girlfriend Needs Space - Give It To Her, Or You'll Push Her Away for Good!

It is natural that you are enamored with your girlfriend and enjoy spending a lot of quality time with her, but it is possible for this feeling of passion to move from endearing to stifling. You may be noticing that she seems to be short with you lately, and also appears to be distancing herself from you and you are worried that the end of your relationship is in sight. Chances are, it isn't anything that major, what the problem is your girlfriend needs space.

Wanting to be with someone every second of everyday is an unhealthy level of attachment to another human being, and it is going to take its toll on them, no matter how patient they might be. If your girlfriend needs space and you cannot find it in yourself to give it to her, you will suffocate her to the point where she is going to leave - for good.

Her desire for space is not an indication that she loves you less or is going to leave you - it simple means that your girlfriend needs space to hang out with her friends, have a bit of alone time here and there, and the ability to pursue her passions without your constant intervention. If you really love her, you need to allow her to have these outlets and she will love you more for it, not less.

It is healthy for us all to have hobbies and activities that are uniquely our own. Allow her the space to do those things and take advantage of these opportunities yourself and hang out with your buddies or pick up an old hobby you put down. You cannot wait by the phone or clock every time she goes out to a book club meeting or a night on the town with the girls, this will only make her feel more stifled. Take these opportunities for a night out on your own.

If your girlfriend needs space, she will really appreciate your encouragement of spending some time out with the girls or your giving her a night alone to catch up on her favorite authors latest work or her favorite television program. Get her a bottle of champagne or her favorite wine, drop off the latest beach reads, and wish her a happy evening.

The next time you get together, you are likely to notice that she seems far less frustrated and you'll have a lot more to talk about. Questions as to the stability of your relationship will no longer be an issue as she'll have the space she needs to have her own outlets. This will make for a happier girlfriend, a better relationship, and certainly a lot more to talk about!

Whether you are still together and having problems or you are already separated and want to "save your relationship"... the next step is absolutely crucial!

Don't make the mistake of saying or doing something that will kill your chances of getting back together with your girlfriend. Find out what you need to do to save your relationship and emotionally reconnect with her again.
